In summer, a few precious months of being human -- until the cold makes him shift back again. Now, Grace meets a yellow-eyed boy whose familiarity takes her breath away. ItÂs her wolf. It has to be. But as winter nears and the temperature drops, Sam must fight to stay human or risk losing himself, and Grace, forever.

I loved it. It was just so amazing. Im usually against stories about werewolves, but wow. Okay to be honest I was sorta on edge about reading this story but I got shunned by some fellow bloggers *:(* So it was either CONTINUE to be shunned or read it. I loved the whole plot line, it was actually a really sweet and amazing love story. I usually go, "Eh love story." but this oh my god, I think Id rather jump off a cliff before going, "Eh another love story." It is NOT another love story, it is officially THE love story. It will cause you to cry. It will cause your  heart to break to pieces. Yeah its that good. I personally thinks it puts a Nicholas Sparks novel to shame. The book has to be good to do that. I absolutely LOVED it. God if your a loser like me and havent read it yet, do. Im eagerly awaiting Linger to come out. (book number two)

Author Website/Blog: http://courtneysummers.ca/
Synopsis: Perfect Parker Fadley isn't so perfect anymore. She's quit the cheerleading squad, she's dumped her perfect boyfriend, and she's failing school. Her parents are on a constant suicide watch and her counselors think she's playing games'¦but what they don't know, the real reason for this whole mess, isn't something she can say out loud. It isn't even something she can say to herself. A horrible thing has happened and it just might be her fault. If she can just remove herself from everybody-be totally alone-then everything will be okay...The problem is, nobody will let her.

Okay first of all. A note to Lydia. Please stop just picking up books and going "someone dies," then flip to the back of the book to verify it. TOTALLY ruined this book for me, I sat there the whole time just WAITING for your prediction to come true. This is one of those books where flipping to the last page, is NOT a good idea. I know a lot of people do it but trust me you will just toss this book to the side and not even bother finishing it if you do that. I loved this book. I cried though. Which really should make me hate it, but it was just so well written and it broke through the barriers of a shell a girl had created to please teh world around her. It was just heartbreaking in that aspect. But I loved it. I heard about it from another blogger and I wanted to read it. It was a great recommendation and I hope some of you will go out and read it also :)

Synospsis: When Brittany Ellis walks into chemistry class on the first day of senior year, she has no clue that her carefully created "perfect" life is about to unravel before her eyes. She's forced to be lab partners with Alex Fuentes, a gang member from the other side of town, and he is about to threaten everything she's worked so hard for--her flawless reputation, her relationship with her boyfriend, and the secret that her home life is anything but perfect. Alex is a bad boy and he knows it. So when he makes a bet with his friends to lure Brittany into his life, he thinks nothing of it. But soon Alex realizes Brittany is a real person with real problems, and suddenly the bet he made in arrogance turns into something much more.

A lot of people compare it to Romeo and Juliet, and okay I can somewhat see it but to be honest I see it alot more as well.... I guess it is like Romeo and Juliet. *blushes* Ooops :) Anyway, most of the book my heart just simply shattered. But of course it was mended together again by Brittany and Alex :) But then it would just shatter again. This book was just so sweet. It really showed how something may look perfect on the outside but on the inside its shattering. It also showed that sometimes things arent what they seem.  But doesnt every story out there bring that into aspect :) Anyway this book was just so amazing. I cried, I even giggled :) oh and I most DEFINITELY had moments where I wished to murder some characters... Anyway I know most of you have already read this but if your like me and havent go read it. I promise its worth it.

Ronnie's father, a former concert pianist and teacher, is living a quiet life in the beach town, immersed in creating a work of art that will become the centerpiece of a local church. The tale that unfolds is an unforgettable story of love on many levels--first love, love between parents and children -- that demonstrates, as only a Nicholas Sparks novel can, the many ways that love can break our hearts...and heal them.

Yay, I most likely will NOT have an IMM next week so thanks for staring at this one :)

And that can’t happen until Super Schnozz disappears…right? Jory is in for some big surprises when passion finds her—and she discovers the beautiful people she longs to look like are not as perfect as they seem.

Hilarious :) It had a great spin on the plot. I fawned over this book, * drooling may or may not have occured you will NEVER know* I loved it. It was hilarious. However while I kept rooting for her to end up with her dream boy, *i wont tell any more than that* i was also rooting for the other boy *no names....it ruins it XP* anyway LOVED this book. I have actually been dying to read it for a while now. It was just incredible. The whole book is her focusing on buying a new nose. Until she basically has an epiphany and her priorities are finally set straight :) She has a lot ot realize by the end of the book, but trust me what she realizes will make you all smile :) *see a smile!*

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
Pages: 579
Pub Date: September 11, 2007
Author Website/Blog:
www.randomhouse.com/features/markuszusak
Synopsis: It's just a small story really, about among other things: a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. . . . Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak's groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can't resist--books. With the help of her accordion-playing foster father, she learns to read and shares her stolen books with her neighbors during bombing raids as well as with the Jewish man hidden in her basement before he is marched to Dachau

I cried, a lot. This book was probably one of the longest and best stories I have read in a long time. It was simply heart breaking. Its so depressing to read about WWII from another perspective other than a Jew. This has been one of my oldest arguments. Why do we only discuss Jewish suffering, if others suffered so much as well. This book really proved my point. The whole book they are constantly struggling to make a living. It also gave a look at how Jews suffered, but it focused mainly on the average German citizen. This story was so compelling that I always forget it was Death telling the story. I loved how towards the end Death mentioned how Liesel wrote the whole story. He was basically just reading it to us. I really loved this story, granted I would recomend it more for those who enjoy a good lengthy story it was still great.

Ari :)

Written by Ari at 7:03 PM 2 Comments
So some of you guys asked for more personal content. So Im gonna start off with telling you guys a little about myself. (lydia and our newest blogger can do this if they choose)

Anyway my name is Ari and Im a 14 year old girl who has been reading since I was 6. I was the creepy little girl who was reading 3 grades above the class. I love to write, big fan of writing fanfiction :)

(a look at my style of fanfiction from my story Anorexics Of America)

My past was sketchy and it created a unraveled future. It led to problems for me. For others. And it led to me knowing I would have to change to ever have a chance with a guy I wanted. My mom never really wanted to admit to the world her husband was no longer much of a husband. More of a stranger who lived in her home every now and then claiming to be her husband and father of her child.
But he wasnt. My mother knew that. It led to problems. Maybe that was why 2 years ago she ended up in the hospital with a stroke. No one who knew her 5 years before hand would have pinned her as the type to have a stroke at the age of 41. It was his fault. My dads fault. He lead her there. I remember when everyone asked me how I was doing. The fact my mother was forever changed. I remember I just simply said, "Shes alive. Why should it matter how I feel?" I was desensitized. I was numb. Maybe because other than her and my father I was the only one who really knew the truth.
She had changed herself. She became a cheerleader on the side for my father. Hoping to keep him from straying so far she could no longer keep a hold on the thin rope she had. She had pushed herself to far. And one day rushing out of the house to go do something for him. It had happened. I was at school when I was asked to go to the vice principals office. They told me. I stared at them. My eyes hollowed into my skull. I could tell they felt uncomfortable. Having to sit across from me and look into my empty eyes that sunk into my skull.
Now she was no longer active. She stayed at home all day. She had given up on him. But neither divorced for real. But everyone knew. They were over. Everyday she would softly ask me how school went. I would scowl hearing her words run and trip over each other. My cousin would suck up to her. Do everything that I should have done. But never did.
Sketchy pasts lead to sketchy futures.

Yup thats one of the ways I spend my spare time.
Im also a violin/viola/piano player. Lol fear me world and my multi musical talents!!!
I used to be a singer. Until I had to choose between violin or singing.
Anyways...
I can read 120 pages in an hour *completely useless fact XP*
I love rootbeer *once again USELESS*
I do weird plays all the time.
Oh and I like to take pics of random things.

Most of my friends are the ones I meet online.

*thinks* thats all i can remember right now :)
Comment if you want more about me. *less crazy info* or email me at fanfictionadict @ yahoo . com if you ever just wanna talk :)
Bye

This Is What I Want To Tell You by Heather Duffy Stone
Pages: 240
Pub Date: March 1, 2009
Author Website/Blog:
http://www.heatherduffstone.com/
Synopsis: Nadio and his twin sister Noelle always had a unique bond. And somehow Keeley Shipley fit perfectly into their world. But when Keeley spends the summer in England, she comes home changed, haunted by a dark memory. As she and Nadio fall in love, they try to hide it from Noelle, whose jealousy's guarding a secret of her own. Slowly, a life long friendship begins to crack under the crushing weight of past trauma, guarded secrets, jealousy, obsession.....and an unexpected love that could destroy them.

Oh god, this book was just devastating. Its like the book should have a big red sticker that says, "DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE A. SUICIDAL B. DEPRESSED C. ETC." I mean really. I didnt cry granted but I was like, "OMFG WHY!" Yeah, so not for those who are any of the listed above. Its a beautiful story. The dialog became a bit confusing here and there do to its unusual set up but all in all the book was just amazing. Okay so I did want to punch a few characters (hmm that seems to be a trend...) but I couldnt help it. Some of them were just simply infuriating. Okay and Ill admit I did look up a cookbook mentioned because Noelle said she wanted to learn what it was. So what judge me. I thought it was a date rape cookbook. Okay so I did become a little imaginative here and there but oh well. That was the beauty of the book. It left you wondering what it was that happened/what something was until the last chunk of the book. Gotta love books like that. Read it, I swear you wont regret it :) (unless or an A. B. or C.)

Author Appreciation Week: L.A Meyer

Written by Ari at 11:56 PM 0 Comments
Books.
Pirate books.

Of course Ive gotta love him for that.

Even if he does touch some touchy subjects for girls.

Which is a wee bit uncomfortable since he is a man.

Still love him though :)

Anyway. Im one of those creepers who LOVES stories about petti coat soldiers.

And by god I do believe that Jacky Mary Faber fills that position.

Well shes in the navy though *winks*

I blame my first battle of the books for this.

But it was worth it.

And oh god the first time I heard about this book they said it was for guys.

Uh try again.

This is most definitely a female book.

Even if it isnt chick lit.

Anyway.

He doesnt interact with fans much.

But he definitely knows how to write.

So that just makes me love him :)

Author Appreciation Week: Kimberly Pauley

Written by Ari at 11:51 PM 0 Comments
Kimberly Pauley is the author of two books. Sucks To Be Me and Still Sucks To Be Me.

Love her for those two books. I swear on my own life that they are teh only two vampire books I truly love *that I have read of course*

Her books yanked me out of my twilight addiction. Ive said that a few times but once again.

THANK YOU FOR THAT :)

And shes a totally sweet person.

I seem to say a lot of people are sweet.

Guess it must be true.

Anyway.

Her books are HILARIOUS!
They are in a series together meanwhile one is deciding whether or not to become a vampire and one is well being a vampire :)
Gotta love that type of stuff.

Right?
Right.

She also runs YABooksCenteral which is an adorable little *okay not so little lol* site for people to read and post reviews oh and to win a lot of books.

Shes like the perfect author.

Okay granted it would be even more perfect if she could be Stephenie Meyer instead of Stephenie Meyer.

*thinks about it*

Can I imagine her books as bestsellers everywhere and awardwinning multi million dollar movies with the hottest couple in hollywood?

Uh YA!

Shes just that great.

Hopefully *crosses fingers* that can happen one day.

Cuz she totally deserves it :)

Very LeFreak by Rachel Cohn

Written by Ari at 10:32 PM 0 Comments
LVery LeFreak by Rachel Cohn
Pages: 320
Pub Date: January 12, 2010
Author Website/Blog: http://www.rachelcohn.com/
Synopsis: Very LeFreak has a problem: she's a crazed technology addict. Very can't get enough of her iPhone, laptop, IMs, text messages, whatever. If there's any chance the incoming message, call, text, or photo might be from her supersecret online crush, she's going to answer, no matter what. Nothing is too important: sleep, friends in mid-conversation, class, a meeting with the dean about academic probation. Soon enough, though, this obsession costs Very everything and everyone. Can she learn to block out the noise so she can finally hear her heart?

God this book was hilarious. But the twist also left me in a state of O.o. I was like, "Okay then was NOT expecting THAT!" Im not gonna say anything. No warnings. Or else I may ruin the book *seals lips shut* I just know I was like, "Would I almost kill some one over the death of my laptop?" By the end of the book I was strongly considering sending myself to ESCAPE. Yeah the book really gets to ya. Sadly I was annoyed that the book was slow at the beginning. Hate that sometimes *insert sigh* But I loved how Very was sorta just like stuck in the world of technology barely reacting with the outside world. Or how she almost killed someone *winks* Loved this story. It will really connect with all readers, no matter how addicted to technology you are. You could be a simple texter, this story STILL applies to you. This is worth the 20 dollars. Ignore the slow beginning. Love the twists and turns at the end :)

Author Appreciation Week: Robin Brande

Written by Ari at 12:18 AM 0 Comments
Okay so you guys have already read my rant about how sweet Robin Brande is and stuff but when it comes down to it Im still really grateful that she did that :)

So for my first Author Appreciation post of the week Im talking about Robin Brande.

Again :)

So anyway....
Robin Brande is basically like all other authors out there.
So whats so special about her that I wanted to show her off this week?
Simple.

Let me just say this one thing.
HAVE YOU NOT READ HER BOOKS?!

Shes a science writer. Perfect for someone like me. And she brings up evolution, a favorite subject of mine.
(and shes totally sweet :D)
Anyway.
In my opinion (im ignoring TWILIGHT *aka book of evil* and focusing on OTHER books) she was the first to do the whole, fall in love with your science partner thing.
Which I totally love.

Thats basically what happens in EVOLUTION, ME, AND OTHER FREAKS OF NATURE
I also love how in that book she has the science teacher state, "Everyone on earth is a freak of nature."
Loved that.

Or in FAT CAT how most of the book is centered around hating her ex-friend soon to be boyfriend.
LOVED THAT!

Face it, shes funny *so are her books :)* shes sweet.
Shes Robin Brande.
Totally loved ranting for a wee little bit about her :)
And meeting her :)

I met Robin Brande and Oh My God she is so SWEET!

Written by Ari at 4:50 PM 0 Comments
So today I went down to Tucson for their second annual book fair.
My incentive? Meeting Robin Brande.
However, I being who I am screwed up the times.
I seriously almost lost out on my chance to meet her!
But my mom being who she is *a totally awesome straight forward person :)* explained the situation to Robin and Robin said she would talk with me :)
Awesome right?
And she signed my books for me and talked to me until we were kicked out.
She didnt have to do that. She was totally awesome.
I loved how sweet she was. My parents kept telling me over and over again the whole drive home, "That was a really sweet thing she did." I was like "I know." And I continued to smile.
She was also really funny.
It was just amazing.
I dont think a lot of other authors would have done that.
Granted a few would but other than that....
Really Robin is so sweet. I was so lucky that she let me sit down with her and talk with her.
I loved it.
Its officially one of the best moments of my life :)
